Discover Mozambique

The capital of Mozambique is Maputo, an important port city on the Indian Ocean that serves as the country’s political, economic, and cultural center. Once a fashionable city known for its Portuguese colonial architecture, Maputo was renamed from Lourenço Marques in 1976 and has since been rebuilding and restoring its infrastructure and colonial heritage after a period of conflict.
